The schooner Cossack, which cleared yesterday, took up 200 tons of machinery for the new lock at the Sault. It was shipped by the Detroit Locomotive Works.

Capt. Henry Hackett of Amherstburg has gone to Winnipeg to superintend the construction of a government lightship, to be used on Lake Winnipeg.
