STEAMER CORONA DISABLED.
One of The Northern Steamship Company's Boats Tore The Excursion Boat's Steering Rigging Off. - There was more trouble at the foot of Main Street yesterday afternoon between the Northern Steamship Company and the excursion boatmen.
The steamer NORTHERN KING of the Northern Steamship line reached the harbor yesterday and started for the public dock at the foot of Main Street. Several excursion steamers were lined up to the dock at the time and the captain of the KING ordered them to move away.
They promptly refused. Then Capt. Soper, the Harbor Master, was ordered to direct them to move. For once he refused to obey and the NORTHERN KING backed away.
A line was fastened to the dock, and in backing this line caught the steering gear of the steamer CORONA and tore it off, disabling the boat. No other damage was done and the KING anchored to a dock further up the Creek.
