STEAMER GOES ASHORE.
Detroit, Oct. 17. - The steamer JOHN OADES, bound up, went ashore on the south side of Keyy's Island, Lake Erie, on Tuesday. The boat suffered severely in stranding, and is now half full of water. The wrecker WALES, with diver and full wrecking outfit left this morning for her release. The OADES belongs to the Parker and Millen fleet and is valued at $80,000.
