The schooner David Dows is in Buffalo being fitted with a jibboom sixty-five feet long. She can carry three additional jibs, making five in alll, and will go under sail the rest of the season. Capt. Sheldon thinks this will greatly improve her sailing and handling qualities, and make her the fastest vessel on the lakes.
