The tug IRENE, owned by the Menominee River Shingle Company, burned at Menominee on Saturday night. She was built in 1893. The oribin of the fire is unknown. Part of the dock and 20 cords of wood were also destroyed. The loss of the vessel was $2,000.

      The Menominee River Shingle Company will rebuilt the small tug IRENE, recently heavily damaged by fire at Menominee.
