The undersigned express their hearty thanks to the Revenue Cutter ERIE, Capt. Knapp, for the very efficient and timely assistance rendered to the schooners BUCKEYE and G.W. BUCKNOR, while they were at the outer bar at Sandusky Bay, on the night of Saturday last, as the said vessels must have been seriously injured, as the had come in contact with each other, and were both striking on the bar and against each other, both vessels at the same time being heavily laden with produce, &c.
