STEAMER ITALIA STILL ON ROCKS.
Pleasure Yacht Which Went Aground on Horseshoe Reef is Released.
The steamer ITALIA, owned by the Caledonia Steamship Company managed by Boland & Cornelius of Buffalo, which ran fast on the rocks near Dummy light at the head of Niagara river on Sunday night, has not been released. All efforts of the tugs of the Great Lakes Towing Company to get the vessel off have failed, and the master and managers of the boat have decided to wait for the water to rise.
The pleasure yacht PEERLESS, owned by Max Schloezer, which went aground on Horseshoe reef in the Emerald channel at midnight Sunday, was released yesterday afternoon by a tug. The damage to the boat is slight.

HIGH WATER MOVES THE ITALIA SLIGHTLY
Owing to squalls on the lower lake last night, the water in the Niagara river has risen more than eight inches. The steamer ITALIA, which went aground in the west channel near the Dummy light on Sunday night, swung almost completely around as though on a pivot Her aft end still rests on a ledge of rock, but it is believed it will now be an easy matter to float her. She is headed down stream.

ITALIA STILL FAST IN EMERALD CHANNEL
The steamer ITALIA, which went on the rocks in Emerald channel near the Dummy light last Sunday night, is still fast. It was hoped that the strong wind off the lake would cause the water to rise enough to float the vessel without lightering her, but the boat was not moved an inch. Boland & Cornelius say they will wait another day before they resort to lightering.
