The schooner CITY OF MILWAUKEE foundered about 12 miles above Port Sanilac last night at 9:30. She was found leaking about 6:30 and was bound for Marquette with limestone. She was built in 1861 and is owned by Mr. E. Aldrich of Chicago. The crew was rescued by the schooner M.L. HIGGIE.

Detroit, Nov. 6. -- The schooner MILWAUKEE with stone for Marquette sprung a leak and sunk in Lake Huron last night. The crew were saved. The vessel lies in deep water fifty miles north of Port Huron, and twelve miles from land.

The schooner CITY OF MILWAUKEE, which foundered on Lake Huron about 10 o'clock Friday Night, began leaking about 6 o'clock in the evening and despite the efforts to keep her afloat, went clown. Her crew took to the yawl and were picked up by the schooner MARY L. HIGGIE. The vessel lies in deep water 50 miles north of Port Huron and 12 miles from land. She had on a cargo of stone for Marquette, and was owned by Mr. Elisih Eldred of this city, and commanded by Captain Joseph Wilson, also of this city. She was built in 1861 and rebuilt in 1872. Her registered valuation was $10,000 and she was rated at B 2. She is said to be insured for $12,000...
