The old schooner FLORENCE which went ashore 8 miles from Manistee at Free Soil as reported on Sat. July 8th, is a total loss.

LOST. -- The schooner FLORENCE, which was reported as ashore at Free Soil, eight miles south of Manistee, has been stripped and abandoned as a total wreck. She was a small craft and valued at only $800.
