NOTE:- R.B. CAMPBELL

The safety of Captain Isbestor, of the schooner ROBERT B. CAMPBELL, and his crew is fully confirmed. They were rescued by the brave captain of a Muskegon tug. The vessel is a total wreck on the beach two miles north of Muskegon piers. The CAMPBELL measured 122 tons, was valued at $1,000, and insured in the Millville for $2,500/. James Sims, of this city, was the owner. A portion of the cargo of shingles will be recovered.

The schooner R. B. CAMPBELL, lumber laden for Chicago, filled and capsized about ten miles off Muskegon during the gale Sunday night. The crew clung to the wreck, from which they were rescued by the tug JAMES GORDON. The vessel drifted upon the beach two miles north of Muskegon Monday afternoon. About a week ago the CAMPBELL arrived at this port in a waterlogged condition, and if the Sentinel remembers aright, was not placed in drydock for repairs as she should have been. It is certainly high time that something is done to prevent the running of craft until they become as leaky as sieves.

THE LAST OF THE ROBERT B. CAMPBELL. --The schooner ELM CITY arrived here on Friday night, bringing about 500,000 shingles, the wheel and gear, two anchors and chains, and fore and main rigging belonging to the schooner ROBERT B. CAMPBELL. They had to cut her spars out, also her deck, to get what they did. The balance is worthless. --- Chicago Inter-Ocean.
