      The Hardest Fend Off.--The tiller rope of the steamer CLEVELAND broke, as she entered the harbor this morning, and she ran into the Madison, tearing off the side of her wheel house and carrying away a portion of ther upper deck railing aft. The anchor of the CLEVELAND caught in the wheel house of the MADISON, and it was some time before it could be disengaged--The CLEVELAND sustained no further damage than breaking her bow chains and rubbing her paint.--Chicago Journal.
