Chicago, Nov. 23 - An underwriter's dispatch from Ludington states that the schr. D.S. AUSTIN which went on the beach there 10 days ago, was badly broken up by Wednesday's gale and has been abandoned as a total loss. Capt. A.P. Reed was instructed today to save what he could of the wreck. The AUSTIN was insured for $2,500. She is owned by her captain.
