At 4 o'clock Tuesday afternoon the steamer PURITAN, owned by Seymour Bros., burned at the dock in Manistee. She is a total loss $70.000

The old year's record ended with the partial destruction on December 31st by fire of the Graham & Norton steamer PURITAN which was lying in winter quarters at manistee.
