Detroit's new mail steamer, ordered to replace the FLORENCE B., wrecked in collision with the steamer SPOKANE last fall, has been destroyed by fire at Detroit, and another boat will have to be built. The new boat was two-thirds completed, and it will be impossible to construct another in time for the opening of navigation. A boat will be chartered for the service.
