Full Text

Collisions At The Flats.- On yesterday afternoon, as tow of vessels, consisting of the JAMES COUCH, D. P. DOBBINS and an unknown canal vessel, while crossing the St. Clair Flats the COUCH being the advance vessel and deeply laden, grounded, when she was run foul by the DOBBINS, the latter having her bowsprit and headgear carried away, and the former slight damage to her stern. The canal vessel followed suit of the DOBBINS, running into that vessel, losing her bowsprit also and badly damaged in her bows. The DOBBINS proceeded on her voyage; the canal vessel will probably return here to repair damages.
