STEEL TRUST STEAMER SINKS SCOW IN HAY LAKE
Sault Ste. Marie, June 11. -- The Steel Trust steamer JOLIET, bound down with ore, collided with a dredge scow in Hay Lake, sinking the scow, and punching a hole in the bow of the steamer. The forepeak filled with water, but temporary repairs made here, and the steamer proceeded on her voyage. The barge AGAWA, down bound, laden, stranded on west side or the Canadian channel to the canal. Tugs released the vessel apparently uninjured.
