Full Text

The captain of the schooner Guiding Star is very careful as to the comforts of his officers and crew. On Saturday he had a new cabinet organ placed in the cabin for the use of the cook. He also took on board stuffed chairs and spring beds for the sailors. It is stated that next season he intends to have an elevator placed at each mast to save the boys the trouble of clambering up the rigging.
