About 5:30 yesterday afternoon fire was discovered on the prop. JOHN B. LYON, lying at the William's coal dock, and an alarm given from box No. 6. The fire was confined to the region of the boilers, where it originated from an overheated pipe, and soon put out by the firemen. The loss estimated at ???? is covered by insurance. The boat is owned by Capt. frank Perew of this city.
