Marine Disasters- The Detroit papers give the following further disasters of the late gale:
"All reports concur in representing the late gales on the Upper Lakes as one of remarkable violence. Accounts of its effects continue to reach us. So far, we are happy to state, that no news has transpired of any disaster attended with loss of life.
The schooner DAUTLESS encountered the storm while on her downward passage. She carried away her mainmasthead, but otherwise sustained no material injury. She passed this port yesterday.
The above disasters were all on Lake Huron.
