Chicago, July 30. -- Capt. Tom Martin of Oswego, N. Y., owner of the schooner GEORGE B. SLOAN, dismasted in the storm last Thursday a week ago, is in the city. A survey of the damage done the vessel was made yesterday, but the amount was not made public. Capt. John Keith and E. M. Doolittle, Esq., were the appraisers. It is understood that the SLOAN will be repaired by Miller Brothers.

It is said that $7,000 judiciously expended will put the dismasted schooner GEORGE B. SLOAN in good condition.
