Came Near Crashing Through Ferry Ashtabula
Ashtabula, December 1. - While the stern of the carferry Ashtabula was raised so repairs could be made to the propeller, some coal cars on board broke from their fastening and ran forward, crashing through the bumping post and demolishing pipes and nearly going through the forward end of the ship.
