Buffalo, October 7. - [Special.] - The steel steamer mackinaw, built by Wheeler at Bay City for the coast trade, arrived late last night. She was put in the dry dock at the union yard this morning and the work of cutting her in two has begun. She will be ready by Friday night to be towed to Montreal, where the parts will be reunited. Capt. William Forbes is acting as pilot and Frank Williams, of Wheeler's yard, accompanies her.
