A dispatch received at the office of J.C. & E.T. Evans states that the iron prop. MERCHANT run on a sunken wreck in the Detroit River on Sunday, and was run ashore at Malden. She was loaded with flour and oats for Buffalo. The prop. CITY OF DETROIT which arrived here yesterday, reports seeing the MERCHANT lying at the wood wharf at Malden Sunday evening with no steam up. The wrecking tug MARGARET was sent to her relief.
