SWALLOWED HER WHISTLE
_______

The new Anchor Liner TIONESTA arrived at Detroit yesterday morning, completing her first round trip to the city of her nativity. On the whole trip, which was a continuous ovation, but one accident, and that one slight, occurred aboard the new boat - she swallowed her whistle.

In the dense fog which kept the whistle going for a whole day in Lake Superior, one of the fastenings gave way and the whistle blew off its fastenings and fell down the stack. It was later pulled out of the fire under the boilers.
