Detroit, Sept. 22. -- The schooner SKYLARK went ashore on Middle Island, on Lake Huron, in the dense fog last night. She is laden with coal and bound for Lake Michigan.

Alpena, Mich., Sept. 23. -- The schooner SKYLARK was released from Middle Island Reef this morning by the tugs FRANK W. and RALPH. The SKYLARK's stern suffered on the reef and she is otherwise damaged. She will be brought here for repairs.
