Full Text

The schooner GRACE MURRAY, which was struck by an unknown vessel on Lake Huron during the gale of last Saturday, arrived at Chicago Thursday. Her stern is considerably damaged, as is also her house, but her passage was not interrupted thereby. The captain thinks a Canadian schooner struck him. An unsuccessful effort was made to rescue the cook, who was knocked overboard.
The Canadian schooner GLENIFFER arrived at Milwaukee August 29, minus her centerboard, which was carried away near Waugochance light in heavy weather, she sailed up in ballast trim and may be the vessel referred to as having been in collision on Lake Huron a few days ago.
