DISASTERS TO SHIPPING AND LOSS OF LIFE
Goderich, Nov. 29. -- A severe snow-storm, accompanied with a heavy gale from the northwest, has prevailed here since last night. The barque C. J. WELLS, owned in Buffalo, came in contact with the Grand Trunk Elevator, and had her top square-yard, also the top of her fore-mast carried away, the latter falling through the deck, smashing bulwarks &c.
