Last Saturday afternoon the tug U. S. GRANT caught fire from some unknown cause while lying in Fox River, Wisconsin, and before sufficient assistance could be rendered, was burned to the water. Two or three men were injured by the fire. The tug was valued at about $8,000. The amount of insurance, if any, has not been ascertained.
