NO NEWS FROM STEAM BARGE HICKOX.
Belleville, Dec. 5. -- Grave fears are entertained here that the steam barge HICKOX, owned and commanded by Capt. Smith of this place and carrying a total crew of five, is lost in Lake Ontario.
The vessel left Oswego with coal on Sunday and has not been accounted for. A steamer which left Oswego later is now safe at Picton and it is hoped that the HICKOX is sheltered or icebound, but the worst is feared.
