Schooner IDA A. OLSON, built Fort Howard, Wis., in 1888 by Olson. 201 tons gross, 191 tons net. owned by L. Olson. 122 x 27 x 9. Official U. S. Number 100428. Port of hail, Fort Howard, Wis. Built of oak.

The schooner Ida Olson recently purchased at Alpena Mich. by Capt. Dunn was towed from Meaford on Monday by the tug Arbutus. She had discharged a cargo of lumber at Meaford for St. Joseph’s Island.

In MacGregor Harbor, Cape Croker, lies the remains of a vessel about 100 feet from shore (in 1984) in about 10 feet of water, with 4 feet over the wreck. A local resident, claims "as a boy he played on the hull and remember the name OLSON painted on her stern."

      A hulk said to be that of the schooner IDA A. OLSON lies against the shore on the north west side of McGregor Harbour, she was abandoned there around 1904.

MacGregor Harbour:-- Wreck - A wooden vessel lies about 50 feet offshore and 1,000 feet north of Harbour Point. A grassy spit marks the position of a former wharf at the North end of the harbor.
