Propeller AMAZON. U.S. No. 105252. Under command of Captain James Fraser, vessel struck the south pier at Grand Haven, MI., on October 28, 1879, stranded and became total loss; no lives lost. Vessel valued at $150,000.

      The machinery of the steaamship AMAZON, which lies at Grand Haven will be raised the coming season.
