DISASTERS TO SHIPPING AND LOSS OF LIFE
CINCINNATI, Nov. 29. -- Early this morning the schooner PAMLICO, of Chicago was run ashore on Little Traverse Bay, it being necessary to save the lives of the crew. The foresail and jib were all gone, the anchors covered with ice and frozen to the deck so hard that they could not be moved. She has four feet of water in her hold, and will require a tug and steam pumps to get her off. She has a cargo of wheat from Chicago to Buffalo.
