The Maritime History of the Great Lakes
St. Catharines Constitutional (St. Catharines, ON), December 5, 1855

Description
Full Text

The weather continues remarkably mild and open, and, unlike ordinary seasons, dry and pleasant. The navigation too, instead of being clogged and impeded by frost, snow and ice, is as free and easy as in mid-summer and bids fair to remain so till Christmas. A large number of vessels daily pass up and down the canal.
