Erie, Pa., Aug. 25. -- The large tug ERIE, of the Anchor Line, while going out for a tow last night, was run into by the steam yacht LENA KNOBLOCH. She struck the ERIE on her port quarter, and immediately the ERIE began to sink. She reached the dock, however, and sank in sixteen feet of water. She is 80 feet long, measures 58 tons, was built in 1875, rates A 2, is valued at $8,000 and is insured.
