A Milwaukee Dispatch says: Adolph Frietsch master of the schooner BELLE LAURIE, is in the toils of the law for having made a false affidavit in taking out his clearance papers. He was arrested and brought to this city yesterday afternoon. He was arrested on complaint of Thomas J. Dykes of Grand Haven, half-owner of the LAURIE. Mr. Dykes purchased the half interest of a Mr. Linneux, who had owned the boat with Frietsch, but had allowed the latter to run it. Mr. Dykes came to Milwaukee to claim his property and to induce Frietsch to take the boat over to Grand haven. While Mr. Dykes was on the boat, Frietsch slipped up to the custon house and took out clearance papers for St. Joseph, making affidavit that he and Mr. Linneux were the owners of the boat. When a favorable opportunity arrived, he sailed away, leaving Mr. Dykes behind, but instead of going to St. Joseph, headed for Pentwater. On the way the LAURIE went on the rocks, and is a total loss. Frietsch is said to have used a revolver to resist a constable who attempted to arrest him, and the aid of the United States authorities was asked.
