The Thousand Island Steamboat Company will receive $20,000 on the burned steamer EMPIRE STATE. The company retains the hulk of the boat and is rebuilding it.

The burned steamer EMPIRE STATE was stripped of her machinery at Kingston on Monday and is now ready for the marine graveyard after many years of passenger service on lake Ontario.
