Peterboro, Ont. Oct. 11. -- The steamer NORTH STAR, which for the past 10 years has been running between and Rice lake points, was burned to the water's edge last night. The cause of the fire is unknown. There was abouy $100 worth of freight on board. There is little insurance on the boat, which was owned by Capt. Harris of Gores Landing.
