A FREAK OF CHANCE

Port Huron, June 8. - The steamer H. J. Johnson, which became disabled in the Soo river several days ago, has been carrying around her big propeller wheel on her shoe ever since, while the captain ordered a new one, and waited for its coming. The Johnson lost her wheel going up the Soo river, when off Pipe Island, and was towed here for a new one. It was ordered, and three days the boat has been detained while it was being made. This afternoon the captain, to his great surprise, found the missing propeller resting on the shoe. How it remained there while the boat was being taken several hundred miles is a mystery.
