The propeller MATTAWAN and consort GIBRALTAR went ashore at Sanilac during the recent two day gale. Both are total losses.

Bark GIBRALTAR. Official Canada No. 83149. Of 270 tons reg. Built St. Catharines, Ont., 1854. Home port, St. Catharines, Ont. 137.5 x 23.5 x 10.9 Owned by James Norris, of St. Catharines.
