The Maritime History of the Great Lakes

Full Text

The Packet boats appear to be doing a good business this year, and we understand that thus far, the travel by that mode of conveyance is one third more this season than it has been before for several years. The Packet 'Monterey,' Capt. A. Luther, arrived here yesterday morning from Schenectady with over 80 passengers. The 'Monterey' is a superb boat and Capt. L. is polite and obliging to his passengers, and does everything that is in his power to make them comfortable and happy while on board.
