Description
Full Text

Saturday morning the steamer Rosedale went aground on Charity Shoal about eight miles out in Lake Ontario. During Saturday night and all day Sunday the wind blew a gale from the west which did considerable damage to the steamer. Yesterday steam pumps were put to work throwing the wheat overboard. If possible the steamer will be taken from the dangerous position. An attempt was made Sunday to get the crew off the steamer but the sea was running very high, making it dangerous to get near.
