The Maritime History of the Great Lakes
The "Ocean Eagle"
Publication:
Oswego Times & Journal (Oswego, NY), 1 May 1855

Description
Full Text

The "Ocean Eagle" was launched at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon in the presence of a large assemblage. We never saw a vessel got off the stocks with so little trouble. The "Ocean Eagle" is a very fine looking craft, with a clipper look that we admire, and we doubt not her sailing capacities are good. Ald. Colborn is the owner.
