Buffalo, July 14. - [Special.] - . . . The owners of the new steel steamer Emily P. Weed,* now being built by Wheeler at Bay City, to-day closed a contract for an electric search light to be put on her pilothouse. The Edison Company claim it will show a buoy a quarter mile off, and penetrate half a mile into a fog. This is the first search light ordered for a lake steamer.
