Description
- Full Text
The FREE PRESS has been investigating still further into the subject of electric search lights on the lakes, and finds that one was placed on the Michigan Central transfer steamer** St. Ignace in the spring of 1888, and has been in successful use on her ever since. It throws a light by which objects can be plainly seen a mile distant from the vessel, and is found to be the right thing in the right place when the steamer is making landings at night in her slip docks in St. Ignace and Mackinaw.
