Along the Docks

The docks show signs of winter by their deserted appearance. Lumber has ceased to arrive and grain is winding up very fast.

The schooner John Magee is in dry dock receiving the necessary repairs to enable her to battle with the wind and waves on a passage to Chicago, which will be undertaken this fall. She will be commanded by Capt. G. N. Spencer.

Goble and Mcfarlane are "rushing" their new vessel on the stocks, and will have her ready to launch next Monday. They will put another in frame after the launch.
