Gale on Lake Ontario

Oswego, Nov. 5

Severe gale on the lake last night. The schooners G.M. Chapman with cargo of wheat, and West Wind with cargo of salt, went ashore between the piers. Latter total wreck. No lives lost.

Schooner G.M. Deshler with car of wheat also here. At last accounts men clinging about the deck.
