Steamboat Association.--An association of the owners of steamboats has at length been formed, but as the rates of freight have not been definitely agreed upon, and are merely temporary until the whole matter is perfected, we deem it unadvisable to specify them. It is understood, however, that the prices fixed upon for fare are as follows:--From Buffalo to Chicago, cabin passage, $12--steerage $6 -- to Detroit (cabin) $6 -- steerage $3 -- to Cleveland (cabin) $5 -- steerage $2.50, and proportionate to other ports.

The Julia Palmer has been purchased by the association, and an arrangement has been effected with the propellers of the Messrs. Hollister, together with the Independence and the Oregon in relation to passengers only.-- [Buff. Com. Adv.
