Part of the coast line east of Pte Pelee and the Soundings inside of Long Point are from Bayfield.
The rest of the chart east of Pte Pelee is from reconnaissances, observations &c. made by the Officers of the Corps of Topographical Engineers in 1845.
The work west of Pte Pelee is reduced from the larger chart executed by the same Engineers from their surveys of 1846 '7 and 8.
