ASTONISHING INCIDENT. - The schooner Shickaluna [sic] from Chicago for St. Catharines, during the severe storm of 24th ult., lost her boat from the davits when above Rondeau, C W, on Lake Erie on the 25th. The vessel stranded on a reef above Port Colborne, from which position she was being removed on the 3rd December, when her boat made its appearance on the lake, and drifted alongside all right. The crew joyfully hailed her as an old shipmate, and the omen as a good one. The distance in a direct line from the locality where the boat was lost to where the vessel stranded is nearly 200 miles. - Buff. Com. 9th.
