Description
Full Text

Around the Chain of Lakes. The passenger steamer Monarch was wrecked on the rocks off Isle Royale, Lake Superior, on Thursday afternoon of last week. The passengers were all saved but suffered terribly, having spent three days and nights on a rock without food or shelter and the temperature below zero. One man was lost. The boat is insured at $100,000 and cargo at $50,000, will be a total loss, no doubt.
